Network established in March 2018

Purpose and function of the network is:

• Promote and strengthen expertise in hydrometallurgy, hydrochemical process technology, aqueous separation technology, etc, in Norway.

• Collaborate on educationfocused on hydrometallurgy in Norway.

• Represent the interests and needsof network members within hydrometallurgy to other organizations and society at large in Norway.

• Promote and organize collaborationbetween network members, particularly between the industrial, research, and educational sectors.

• Work to establish research projects, especially among the members of the network.

• Organize seminars and coursesin hydrometallurgy.

• Arrange webinars and online lecture series.

A Network for the Future

The future will demand a focus on recycling and sustainability. The network is committed to helping Process 21become the desired catalyst for a circular economy within the hydrometallurgical industry as well.

We work to establish R&D projects(Research and Development) that are of importance to our members. Experience shows that it is often more effective to establish multilateral projects involving a selection of member companies and research institutions, rather than the entire network at once.

Most Norwegian companies are too small to maintain their own R&D departments. Therefore, a key objective is to facilitate access to R&D for SMEs(Small and Medium-sized Enterprises). Through the network, members can connect and engage with like-minded peers.
